Targeting the ACE2 receptor using nanomedicine: Novel approach to lung cancer therapy
نویسندگان
چکیده
The angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor gained prominence in 2020, having been identified as a prime for entry of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, which has led to current global pandemic. Many studies have reported that lung cancer patients higher risk contracting COVID-19 due up-regulated expression ACE2 cells. Lung is heterogeneous disease and most frequently occurring globally. It more prevalent men than women accounts an estimated 40% cases. Over years, many on cancer. Conventional methods currently available detection treatment face numerous challenges. Nanomedicine risen challenges facing therapy drug delivery. With array nano delivery systems available, nanomedicine can be used develop alternative help overcome these improve therapeutic efficiency therapy. Hence, this review focuses cancer, receptor, use formulating targeted strategy directed at receptor. This may serve stepping stone exploring further targeting strategies therapies.

A polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) micelle-based siRNA delivery system was developed for treatment of cancer. A PEGylated siRNA targeting human vascular endothelial growth factor (hVEGF) was synthesized. The hVEGF expression was almost completely inhibited in vitro as well as in vivo by treating prostate cancer cells with the PEC micelles formed from the interaction between the conjugate and polye...
متن کاملInvestigation the potential of Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) to treat the lung cancer
Introduction: Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is recommended to treat the glioblastoma tumor. It is well known that neuron beams are more effective treatment than photon beams to treat hypoxia tumors due to interaction of neutron with nucleus and production of heavy particles such as 7Li and alpha particle. In this study to evaluate the suitability of BNCT for treating of ...

Stroke is the third-leading cause of death and most common etiology for long-term adult disability. Of the approximate 700 000 individuals experiencing new or recurrent stroke annually, less than 5% of these individuals receive thrombolytic therapy.1–3 Intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) is an approved pharmacological treatment for acute ischemic stroke, but the window ...
